Mineral:Cuprite with Malachite coating
Locality:Emke Mine, Onganja, Namibia
Description:Large cubo-octahedral cuprite crystals up to 22 mm with thin green malachite surface coating. The cuprite is exposed on the bottom and is seen to be translucent red (I am tempted to dissolve the malachite away with acid).
Overall Size:35x30x20 mm
Crystals:0.1-22.0 mm
