Locality:Alston Moor, West Cumberland Iron Mining District, Cumbria, England (Type Locality for Barytocalcite and Witherite)
Description:Bladed white barytocalcite crystals up to 2 mm completely coating translucent, colorless witherite crystals up 6 mm. The witherite is exposed on the bottom where a freshly broken face shows the crystals. The barytocalcite fluoresces white under UV.
