Mineral:Pyrite and Sphalerite on Quartz
Locality:Deveti Septemvri Mine, Madan District, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria
Description:Yellow metallic pyrite crystals up to 12 mm with dark Spinel-law twinned sphalerite crystals up to 8 mm overgrown on colorless quartz crystals up to7 mm. Though the sphalerite is dark, it shows translucent yellow color with strong rear-illumination.
