Locality:Warwick, Orange County, New York
Description:Classic specimen of black octahedral spinel crystals up to 13 mm across in tan-colored etched marble matrix with orange-brown chondrodite crystals up to 8 mm. The crystals are crudely crystallized because they formed simultaneously with the matrix. Ex. Carnegie Museum of Natural History, ex. Lawrence H. Conklin (1933-2016)
