Mineral:Dioptase on Calcite
Locality:Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Large cluster of rhombohedral translucent yellow calcite crystals up to 20 mm on edge with transparent, bright green dioptase microcrystals up to 1 mm across scattered over the faces of the calcite. The bottom is sawn flat so the cluster stands upright.
Overall Size:14x11x7 cm
Crystals:1-20 mm
