Mineral:Diamond (9.72 carat brown macle, twinned crystal)
Locality:Mandala River, Guinea
Description:Exceptionally large diamond crystal (15 mm on each edge!!!) with triangular shape due to Spinel-law twinning - a macle (= twin). The diamond has brown color around the edges and less color in the center. The faces are smooth with trigons in the middle.
