Mineral:Cuprite with Malachite coating
Locality:Emke Mine, Onganja, Namibia
Description:Large elongated cubo-octahedral cuprite crystal 38 mm long with thin green malachite surface coating. The cuprite is exposed on the bottom and is seen to be translucent red (I am tempted to dissolve the malachite away with acid).
