Locality:near Kolonne, Ratnapura District, 20 km NW of Embilipitiya, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka
Description:Elongated translucent blue sapphire crystal (blue gem variety of the mineral species corundum) exposed along the edge of white marble matrix. The front faces have a glossy luster where it cleaved when separated from an adjacent sapphire.
