Description:Blocky green malachite crystals up to 3 mm across of translucent brown calcite matrix. Under magnification the calcite appears slightly melted, possibly indicating it was cleaned with weak acid. Ex. R.V. Gaines (coauthor of Dana's mineralogy, 8th edition)
