Locality:Hüttenberg, Carinthia, Austria
Description:Triangular specimen of sooty brown goethite pseudomorphs after rhombohedral siderite crystals up to 5 mm across. The siderite formed first, then was replaced atom by atom by goethite maintaining the original shape of the siderite. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #8028; ex. Oren Root collection at Hamilton College
