Mineral:Muscovite var. Rose Muscovite
Locality:Harding Mine, 8 km east of Dixon, Taos County, New Mexico
Description:Red-pink crystals of rose muscovite on, and running through, white albite matrix. These specimens were often misidentified as lepidolite, but this occurrence was tested and contains no lithium. The pink color is caused by manganese. Ex. Upsala College collection
