Mineral:Dioptase on Calcite
Locality:Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Translucent emerald-green dioptase crystals up to 12 mm long on plate of rhombohedral colorless calcite crystals up to 6 mm across. The calcite fluoresces under UV illumination. The small dioptase crystal on the far left has a tiny chip in one corner.
