Mineral:Limonite pseudomorphs after Siderite with Rutile
Locality:Boiling Springs, Cleveland County, North Carolina
Description:Brown limonite pseudomorphs after rhombohedral siderite crystals up to 10 mm long plus needle-like red-metallic rutile crystals up to 16 mm. The specimen has been coated with acrylic (to preserve?) which can be removed with acetone.
Overall Size:3x2x1.5 cm
