Mineral:Sodalite var. Hackmanite
Locality:near Kiran, Kokscha Valley, Badakshan, Afghanistan
Description:Glassy crystals of translucent sodalite, variety hackmanite, in translucent limonite-stained marble matrix. The sodalite crystals fade to pinkish-gray in daylight, but turn deep purple after prolonged exposure to UV illumination.
Overall Size:5x5x4 cm
Crystals:5-15 mm
