Mineral:Calcite with Pyrite
Locality:Steele Mine, Lyndhurst, Ontario, Canada
Description:Translucent gray-brown rhombohedral calcite crystals up to 40 mm across with hemispherical rosettes up to 4 mm diameter of small metallic pyrite crystals. The calcite has red internal zones due to microscopic hematite inclusions. Two areas are cleaved. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #6725; ex. Wards
