Mineral:Sphalerite with Ankerite
Locality:Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania
Description:Dark sphalerite in crude crystals with overgrowth of brown ankerite and white unknown mineral, possibly aragonite. The cleavage faces of the sphalerite show yellow-brown translucency. One crystal in the center is complete and undamaged.
Overall Size:8.5x7x3 cm
Crystals:1-20 mm
