Mineral:Datolite pseudomorphs after Anhydrite
Locality:Braen's Quarry, Haledon, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Transparent pale-green datolite pseudomorphs (epimorphs) after prismatic anhydrite crystals up to 30 mm long. The anhydrite formed first, was overgrown with datolite, then the anhydrite dissolved leaving open casts.
Overall Size:5x4.5x3 cm
Crystals:1-4 mm
