Locality:Noble Pit, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, New Jersey
Description:Doubly-terminated brown augite crystal fully crystallized on all surfaces, one of the many augite specimens found in 1994-5 in the mud zone at the Noble Pit. Note the parallel indentations where it was intergrown with calcite, now dissolved away.
