Locality:Achmatovsk Mine, south of Zlatoust, Ilmen Mountains, Russia
Description:Large black magnetite crystal 12 mm across with transparent green epidote crystals up to 2.5 mm and brown grossular garnet crystals up to 0.5 mm. The epidote crystals look beautiful under magnification. Acquired in 1991; ex. Carnegie Museum of Natural History (Pittsburgh)
