Description: | Platy black metallic hematite crystals up to 17 mm intergrown with translucent granular calcite crystals up to 4 mm. Note the museum label misspelled Martite, which is hematite pseudomorphs after magnetite. The hematite is magnetic. Ex. Upsala College |
