Description:Rare red-orange grossular garnet crystals with lustrous dodecahedral faces that have irregular, rough-looking etched patterns in some areas - probably where the grossular was intergrown with calcite that dissolved away. The bright color is uncommon. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #238; ex. B. Gordon
