Description:Five perfect Herkimer Diamonds (water-clear colorless doubly-terminated quartz crystals from near Herkimer, N.Y.) on matrix coated on the face with smaller transparent quartz crystals. Matrix specimens are rare because the crystals easily pop off. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #414; acquired in 1990
