Mineral:Dioptase on Calcite
Locality:Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Lustrous emerald-green dioptase crystals up to 13 mm across on colorless translucent calcite crystals up to 3 mm with spherical brown goethite microcrystals in the calcite. The dioptase varies from transparent to translucent. A choice specimen. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #434; acquired in 1998
