Mineral:Galena (interpenetrant twinned crystals) with Sphalerite and Pyrite
Locality:Casapalca District, Huarochiri Province, Peru
Description:Lustrous gray metallic galena crystals up to 12 mm across with translucent red-brown sphalerite crystals up to 5 mm with yellow metallic pyrite on the bottom of the specimen. The galena crystals are interpenetrant twinned, similar to Weardale fluorite. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #5796, acquired in 1983
