Mineral:Diamond (5.71 carat gray spherical Ballas crystal)
Locality:Paraguassu River District, Bahia, Brazil
Description:Large translucent gray spherical crystal of natural diamond fully crystallized on all sides (referred in the trade as a Ballas crystal). The crystal has minute irregular faces with matte luster. Under magnification microscopic crystal faces are visible.
