Locality:Mount Antero, Chaffee County, Colorado
Description:Brown hematite (with goethite) pseudomorphs after rectangular pyrite crystals up to 22 mm long with no matrix attached. The pyrite crystallized first, then altered atom by atom to hematite-goethite, maintaining the original shape of the pyrite.
