Mineral:Spessartine Garnet on rhyolite
Locality:Ruby Mountain, Nathrop, Chaffee County, Colorado
Description:Six lustrous dark-red spessartine garnet crystals in shallow cavities in light-colored rhyolite. These spessartine crystals are more translucent than the nearly black crystals commonly found at this locality. Ex. Ned Blandford, originally acquired in 1951
