Mineral:Calcite pseudomorphs after Aragonite
Locality:Johnby Quarry, near Penrith, Cumbria, England
Description:Translucent white calcite pseudomorphs after elongated scalenohedral aragonite crystals up to 25 mm long with a few transparent colorless second-generation aragonite crystals up to 8 mm long. The cores of the pseudomorphs are still aragonite. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #4555, collected in 1981
