Description:Sparkling cluster of lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals coating one face of brown petrified wood that fluoresces faint green under UV illumination. The collection catalog indicated it was from the early Permian, but Alabama has none. Ex. Chas. W. Velte Jr. (1914-1987) collection
