Locality:Michigamme Mine, Marquette County, Michigan
Description:Chlorite-magnetite-amphibole pseudomorph after a dodecahedral 30 mm almandine garnet crystal. The surface of the pseudomorph shows faint brush marks from when it was first cleaned. This is the finest specimen I have seen of this prolific formation. Ex. Harold D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School
