Mineral:Fluorite with Quartz
Locality:West Cumberland Iron Mining District, Cumbria, England
Description:Transparent purple cubic fluorite crystals to 39 mm across with scattered lustrous colorless quartz crystals to 2 mm on the surface of the fluorite. The fluorite crystals have a silky surface luster throughout. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School
