Description:Botryoidal black romanèchite crystals in concentric layered growth. The surfaces of the romanèchite have silky surface luster. Originally labeled as psilomelane, an obsolete mineral name for romanèchite-hollandite-cryptomelane. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School
