Locality:Blue Wing Mine, South Prospect Shaft, Granville County, North Carolina
Description:Old specimen milky quartz matrix almost completely coated with layered green malachite dating to 1905-1910 workings of this old copper mine near the Virginia border. The malachite formed in layers from 0.1-0.2 mm thick in concentric patterns throughout. Ex. Dick Gillespie of Richmond, Virginia.
