Locality:Palmerton, Carbon County, Pennsylvania
Description:From the mine dumps of the NJ Zinc Co. smelter where zinc ore was burned with charcoal, precipitating zinc which was captured and refined. The dumps continued to smolder forming yellow-green willemite and zincite that fluoresces bright green under UV.
