Locality:Mashamba West Mine, 13 km west of Kolwezi, Katanga Copperbelt, Lualaba Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Description:Gray metallic-looking octahedral cuprite crystals to 10 mm across in a shallow cavity lined with powdery blue-green chrysocolla. The cuprite is translucent, but the surfaces have altered to metallic appearance. Collected ca. 1992
