Locality:ZCA Pierrepont Mine, Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County, New York
Description:Crystallized mass of black sphalerite, locally known as black jack ore by the miners. Most faces show cleavage faces, but one side has a generally flat shape probably because it contacted a nearby crystal, limiting growth to a flat surface.
