Description:Partially translucent red-brown trapezohedral almandine garnet crystal with no matrix attached. The almandine garnet crystal has clean, smooth crystal faces and has impressions on the bottom where it intersected quartz-muscovite matrix. Ex. Earle C. Sullivan (1906-2005), author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.
