Description:Large black magnetite crystal with striated crystal faces and remnants of matrix in some crevices. The magnetite crystal form is octahedral with dodecahedral edge faces. This specimen is from a one-time find during road construction. Ex. Robert P. Bates (1926-2008) collection #1279
