Locality:Serrote Redondo, near Pedra Lavrada, Paraíba, Brazil
Description:Parallel group of almandine garnet crystals exposed in the center of a quartz nodule from an unusual alluvial deposit. Local collectors search for the almandine-quartz nodules, and split them to expose the garnet crystals inside. One corner is chipped.
