Mineral:Datolite with Calcite and Pyrite
Locality:Millington Quarry, Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Translucent pale-green datolite crystals to 3 mm with scattered yellow-metallic pyrite microcrystals and a 7 mm crystal of translucent colorless calcite with compound surfaces. Pyrite, a sulfide mineral, is uncommon in the zeolite cavities of New Jersey.
