Mineral:Calcite (twinned crystals)
Locality:Edgewater, Bergen County, New Jersey
Description:Unusual formation of translucent yellow calcite crystals with compound surfaces of parallel crystal faces. The calcite is twinned on the C-axis, with distinct, offset twin plane easily apparent. This specimen came from the diabase sill of the Palisades.
