Mineral:Sphalerite with Quartz overgrowth
Locality:Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania
Description:Heavy plate of solid red-brown sphalerite with complete crystals to 20 mm on the top face, with partial overgrowth of lustrous transparent quartz crystals to 4 mm. The sphalerite is highly translucent. Ex. A. Lincoln Sherk II, MD. (1896-1970)
