Mineral:Ilmenite on Calcite with Nepheline
Locality:Vishnevye Mountains, Chelyabinsk Oblast', Southern Urals, Russia
Description:Flattened parallel gray-metallic ilmenite crystals to 16 mm across in etched translucent gray calcite with scattered crystals to 5 mm of transparent yellow nepheline that fluoresce yellow under UV illumination. The ilmenite has a contact on the top edge.
