Mineral:Epidote with Calcite and Quartz
Locality:Green Monster Mountain-Copper Mountain area, south of Sulzer, Prince of Wales Island, Alaska
Description:Lustrous green-black epidote crystals to 10 mm long with a transparent colorless calcite crystal 30 mm across and a few small colorless quartz crystals to 4 mm. The calcite crystal is incomplete on one corner and fluoresces orange under UV illumination. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #1293; ex. John S. Albanese (1898-1969)
