Locality:Kono, near Sefadu, Sierra Leone
Description:Large doubly-terminated ruby crystal, the pink gem variety of corundum, with vivid pink color and textured crystal faces, possibly the result of lamellar twinning. The corundum crystal fluoresces bright red under UV illumination. Ex. Lawrence H. Conklin (1933-2016)
