Mineral:Andradite-Grossular Garnet
Locality:Trantimou, Kayes Region, Mali
Description:Large partially-translucent brown garnet crystal surrounded by smaller garnets around the base. The outer layers of the garnet are translucent. Both andradite and grossular garnets occur at this locality, often within zones in a single crystal.
Overall Size:3.5x2.5x2 cm
Crystals:2-28 mm
