Mineral:Quartz var. Chalcedony with Fluorapatite
Locality:Cerro de Mercado, Durango, Mexico
Description:Botryoidal translucent gray quartz, variety chalcedony, overgrown on a complex mass of transparent yellow apatite crystals to 10 mm long. The chalcedony fluoresces green under UV illumination. Most of the apatite crystals on the rear are incomplete.
