Description: | Large dendritic formation of native copper crystals that formed in a narrow fracture zone with sharp crystal faces visible throughout. Old label attached, plus Chynoweth's label, and three articles about Chynoweth including his 1922 obituary. Ex. Howard Chase (1889-1945); ex. Capt. James. Chynoweth (1846-1922) captain in 1881 of the Mass Mine, superinendent of the Centennial Mine 1897, Fay Group 1899, early developer of Globe, Az. |
