Locality:Sahara el Beyda, 45 km north of Farafra, Egypt
Description:Black limonite pseudomorphs after a stellate formation of parallel marcasite crystals to 9 mm that originally crystallized on the ocean bottom, then altered molecule by molecule into limonite, maintaining the original marcasite shape. Ex. Alfred Stevenson (1916-2007), acquired in 1997 from Alain Carion
