Mineral:Calcite var. Manganocalcite with Chalcopyrite, Quartz
Locality:Quiruvilca District, Santiago de Chuco Province, La Libertad Department, Peru
Description:Translucent pale-pink rhombohedral calcite crystals to 12 mm with metallic chalcopyrite crystals to 2 mm and transparent colorless quartz crystals to 4 mm. Magnesium impurities cause the pink color and orange fluorescence under UV illumination.
